Virginia Ortiz Appointed Executive Director

GoFarm, which is building a more equitable, resilient, environmentally sustainable, and inclusive local food system, partnered with Pearl Street to identify their next Executive Director and are excited to welcome Virginia Ortiz to the organization.

Virginia comes to GoFarm with more than 30 years of proven experience in nonprofit leadership, community based economic development, affordable housing, and workforce development.

She has served in executive leadership positions for numerous organizations including Bayaud Enterprises, Colorado Foundation for Families and Children, and NEWSED Community Development Corporation, and is a graduate of the National Development Training Institute.

Virginia replaces GoFarm founder, Eileen O’Rourke, who stepped out of the Director role in early 2021 to pursue new ideas and build new concepts around food system infrastructure.
