Northeastern University Names Ethan Phillips as Executive Director of International Relations

Pearl Street continues their strategic partnership with Northeastern University and is pleased to share that the Office of University Advancement has named Ethan Phillips as Executive Director of International Advancement. Ethan will be responsible for strategically increasing international philanthropy and engagement, accelerating the momentum around Northeastern’s recently announced $1.3B campaign.

He joins from New York University where he served as the Executive Director of Global & Institutional Engagement, leading a team across international fundraising, corporate and foundation partnerships, and development for the University’s 70+ centers and institutes. As one of many accomplishments during his time at NYU, and as recently highlighted in the New York Times, Ethan secured a transformational gift for the University’s Grey Art Gallery, the largest in its history.

Prior, during his 15+ year tenure at Columbia University, Ethan progressed through roles of increasing responsibility in donor relations, major gifts, and as Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President, ultimately serving as Director of International Development and Funding Initiatives. He holds a BA from Pace University and earned both his MS and MPA from Columbia University.
